What is Rent the Runway Unlimited?
The Rent the Runway Unlimited plan allows you to rent 4 pieces at a time. You can return one or all these pieces the following day, week or month and pick out a new piece once you return one of your items. Delivery to your home, office or your local store is free. Rent the Runway offers all clothing such as dresses, tops, jackets, jeans, sweaters, ball gowns, cocktail dresses, and much much more. Rent the Runway also has jewelry and an amazing selection of handbags and purses available to rent.
Why I joined Rent the Runway Unlimited
I was trying to find a dress for a friend’s wedding and all the dresses I liked in stores were $400-$600 to purchase which I thought was way too much for a dress that I would enjoy wearing at most 3 times. After that, it loses its newness and excitement for me. I looked into Rent the Runway Unlimited and saw that I could rent 4 items for $130 per month at that time. This allowed me to rent a dress for the wedding day, a dress for the day after and 2 purses for $130 along with having more options throughout the month after I returned the items. Wear items that you normally wouldn’t buy – some of the items I rent are really expensive trend items e.g. furry blue jacket that I would wear a couple of times and then never wear again. By using Rent the Runway, I get to enjoy this piece without investing lots in the item. I can return the item when I am ready to give it back.
Return as often as you want – Rent the Runway Unlimited is…. Unlimited. As it sounds, you can return your items as many times as you want during the month. If you love a winter jacket or a Diane Von Furstenberg bag and want to keep it for one day, one week or one month, the choice is yours.
Pause when you want – If you are traveling and want to pause your Rent the Runway subscription, you can easily do that and join when you return or when you feel like you would get most from the service.
Visit the showrooms or through the app – the showrooms are great for trying on items if there is a showroom near you. You can rent clothes at the store, bring back clothes and browse online.
Use the sizing guide – on the app, based on certain brands that you have rented before, the app will let you know which size they recommend in the piece that you want to rent. As brands often range in size, this is so helpful.
See images & reviews of the item on other Rent the Runway members – Rent the Runway customers are so good for uploading photos of them wearing the piece and noting whether the fit was in line with their usual size along with any other notable comments
If you really love an item, you can buy it at a discounted price
Add an extra item or two when needed for an additional monthly cost
