On Saturday, February 8th, 2020, Rebecca Minkoff showcased her new collection at New York Fashion Week which included the new category to her empire; a children’s line. The 15-year-old company changed up it’s format for NYFW this year and had a presentation of the new collection at Pier 59 rather than a runway show.
The NYFW presentation showcased a see-now-buy-now collection where every item is available to buy right now. The women’s collection is the perfect medley of hard and soft looks all weaved together to create a beautiful collection suitable for all ages. Ruffles and puffed sleeves featured with beautiful floral prints. A bright hot pink short suit was one of my favorite looks of the NYFW presentation followed by a flowing maxi dress perfect for warm spring & summer days. Scarfs adorned the model’s necks and mini multi colored purses completed the look. Leather fringed jackets & leather skirts also featured in this NYFW 2020 presentation.
Rebecca Minkoff’s children’s line is the first sustainable line for the brand after 15 years. The brand noted that it continues to explore options to turn around the sustainability of the supply chain by looking at all areas of supply chain. The line is unisex and is also available to purchase right now.
