NYFW ready with Laura Mercier

This past week, I modeled in NYFW and attended many shows and after parties which was a dream come true. I have always dreamt of going to NYFW, enjoying the madness and seeing the trends for next year. There was little time in between shows and parties to grab food or touch up my makeup so I had some favorite Laura Mercier products that I kept at the ready throughout the week.

Translucent Loose Setting Powder

This has been a staple of mine for quite some time now. I use it daily to set my makeup and keep the shine at bay. My T-zone tends to shine bright like a diamond after a couple of hours, so this is an essential product that I never leave without. It was the most used product this fashion week in between Uber rides from show to show. A little goes a long way and the product is very light weight and does not give a caked look as with a couple of the other setting powders that I have tried. As a travel tip or for those who carry mini clutches, I bring a little jar in my bag with me instead of the large jar that the product is originally sold in. This saves lots of space as only a small amount is needed.

Primer

My makeup needed to last from morning until evening so I used a healthy amount of primer to make sure that my makeup lasted and gave me a refreshed look throughout the day. I used the Radiance primer but the primer is also available sans the radiance. The primer has a pearl tint and minimizes pores, fine lines and redness. It is light weight and suitable for light to medium skin tones. It also has antioxidants A, C & E and contains Jojoba for skin conditioning.

Tinted moisturizer – Oil free

If you followed my latest travels on Instagram, you will see that I am just back from a heavenly week in the Dominican Republic. I was wearing limited makeup during the day while relaxing on the beaches so kept this look for a couple of the shows during NYFW. I wore the tinted moisturizer in Porcelain which allowed my freckles to show (some day they will join!) This lasted so well and gave me a fresh, no makeup look but provided some light sheer coverage. The tinted moisturizer has a demi-matt finish with SPF 20 UVB/UVA protection and is suitable for normal to oily skin types. A little vitamin E is also added to the mix to make this quite the product! I’m going to continue to wear this before I bid farewell to my dewy summery looks.

Lip Glace

As a quick touch up to my makeup between shows, I used Lip Glace in blush. In a quick touch up, it made my look a little more glam. I have used Laura Mercer lip Glace for years but this past week used blush this time. The Glace has a high shine and is long lasting. The Glaces are available in a large spectrum of colors and are the perfect quick touch up. The Glace’s are moisturizing, anti-aging and plumping which is a winner for me!

These products gave me a natural no makeup look which I generally like for day time unless there is a special occasion. As Laura Mercier best quotes, “What makes you unique makes you beautiful”. I aim to highlight not disguise.

Thank you to Laura Mercier for sponsoring this blog post.
