Working at the Sephora Headquarters in San Francisco has many many perks including being in the know and being able to try out new amazing products as they launch in stores. Here are a few of my favorites that I have tried over the past while from different events and launches.
Too Faced - Peaches and Cream range
This range has to come first in my new beauty finds. I went to a Too Faced Peaches and Cream launch party and it was amazing. The products I tried were all beautiful, smelt amazing and were beautifully packaged. The range is infused with peaches and sweet fig cream and the packaging is an added bonus. I tried the Peach Mist Mattifying Setting Spray which sets makeup and helps control all day. I also tried the Sweetie Pie Bronzer which is a powder bronzer with a radiant matte finish. There are three different shades in the powder to define and sculpt. The packaging and design of the product is beautiful and it comes with a compact mirror. My final product from this range is the Peach Kiss Moisture Matte Long Wear Lipstick in “Make me Blush” which is a dusty pink color. The lipstick is also scented and lasted well after the event. The range also includes foundation, setting powder, an eyeshadow set and blush.
Smashbox Photofinish Primerizer
I have used Smashbox Photo Finish Primer in the past and have liked the product but prefer the new primerizer. The product is both a primer and a moisturizer eliminating one step on busy mornings. The formula is very light and provides moisture while also prepping the skin for makeup at the same time. The primerizer sets in a few seconds and only one pump is needed. Dryness, dullness, fine lines and wrinkles are all helped by this new one product wonder.
Naked Heat Palette
I was awaiting the release of the Naked Heat Palette so when one landed in a box of Sephora goodies on my desk, I was so excited and couldn’t wait to try! It was worth the wait. The palette includes 12 all new shades ranging from soft creams to warm browns to rich reds. There are shades for subtler office looks and also shades to create a darker glam party look. As with all of the previous Naked palettes, a full sized mirror and double ended brush are included which is useful for on the go. My favorite colors so far are Ounce, Low Blow, Sauced and Dirty Talk. I have lots more testing to do on this product but it will be perfect for party season which is fast approaching.
Gabrielle Chanel
The long awaited Gabrielle Chanel floral scented perfume is here after years of development! The floral fragrance is based on four white flowers; jasmine, ylang-ylang, orange blossom and grasse tuberose. The bottle which took time to create is lightweight and has an ultra- thin glass which allows light to shine through and the fragrance to sparkle. Less is more with this fragrance as it is quite strong but it is a new favorite scent of mine.
Buxom Power Plump
The Buxom Power Plump is a lip balm that hydrates and plumps while providing a pink tint. A reactor in the balm works with your PH level to bring the pink tint to the most flattering shade of pink for your skin. The lip balm plumps your lips and gives a tingling feeling when applied. I have been using this product on its own or before applying a lipstick to hydrate and plump my lips. It is a handy size for popping in your handbag for on the go.
