Lumeria Maui is a tranquil & serene oasis of calmness located in Upcountry Maui, Hawaii. The Maui luxury resort is a quick 20 minute drive away from Maui International Airport (OGG). Lumeria Maui is a 4-star destination retreat with a full schedule of complimentary yoga, stretching & meditation classes to unwind & de-stress away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. 24 individually designed guest rooms are spread throughout the tropical gardens with each room designed in traditional Maui style.

The grounds at Lumeria Maui are truly amazing with all kinds of tropical finds including banana, pineapple, lime, starfruit & palm trees. There are lots of little paths and gardens to wander off, explore and immerse yourself in nature. There is a heated outdoor pool alongside a hot tub which stays open until 10pm each night. The pool area is lined with sun loungers where relaxation under the warm rays of the Hawaiian sun is a must after some relaxing yoga.

Lumeria Maui has a full daily schedule of yoga, relaxation, stretching & meditation classes. The schedule changes day by day and week by week. Each day during our stay, there were a minimum of 6 different activities to choose from. We took an early morning yoga class which we enjoyed so much. There are all types of yoga offered throughout the week including Hatha, Kundalini, Yin, Anusara, Restorative & beginners yoga to name a few. Daily, there are also one or two different activities such a salsa dancing, learning the Hawaiian language or learning about farming & plants in Hawaii which will keep you as busy or as relaxed as you wish.

There is one restaurant, the Wooden Crate, at Lumeria Maui which serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. Breakfast is included in all guest room reservations and a delicious buffet of fresh fruit, oatmeal, eggs, bread, yogurt, granola & more are served. There is seating both indoors and outdoors and the views of the tropical landscape are the perfect way to enjoy the delicious food. Lunch is served daily & offers burgers, soups, salads and more. Dinner is a 3 course prix-fixe menu and requires a reservation 24 hours in advance.

Amongst the tropical lush gardens are meditation huts, hammocks in the whispering pine forest, a labyrinth, a yoga platform, 2 yoga rooms and a large meditation lawn or grassy area with sun loungers. The lobby offers the coziest reading and relaxation areas with plush couches & dazzling chandeliers. Be sure to bring a book to sit and relax in the lobby. One of the days during our stay was full of rain so we took some time to relax in the lobby & it was heavenly.

There is also a spa at the 4-star Maui resort with an extensive list of treatments including a crystal massage & a Lomi Lomi massage. A Lomi Lomi massage is a traditional Hawaiian healing practice where organic coconut oil is used in combination with long, continuous, flowing rhythmic massage strokes. I didn’t try out the spa while onsite however the treatments sounded delightful.

Parking is free on the premises along with the full schedule of classes, tea, coffee, water & wifi.

The little town of Piai is a quick 8 minute drive away and has lots of cute little shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. There are also beaches nearby and lots of hikes and nature walks. We arrived at the resort and fell in love with its beauty and peacefulness so spent the majority of our 2 nights at the resort. When planning a stay at Lumeria Maui Resort, make sure that you plan to spend some time enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the resort. With only 24 guestrooms, it often feels like you are the only ones at the resort as it is so quiet and peaceful.

I highly recommend a stay at the Lumeria Maui Resort for an amazing relaxing experience in Hawaii. A Maui resort perfect for yoga, sun bathing or escaping to tropical surrounds. I never felt so relaxed in my life as I did leaving this beautiful resort.
